About Us

Our Mission

We facilitate collaborative, participatory and creative spaces for young people to explore theatre and performance. Our classes and workshops require no stage experience but just an enthusiasm and willingness to participate. We aim to create spaces that are non-judgemental, safe and enjoyable for all.

We want to create a community for children and young people to feel a part of and that they are key decision makers in. Our class and workshop programme is influenced by the groups that attend - we respond to the needs and wishes of the participants. We want to create a place where children and young people can feel at home.

Drama

Our weekly drama classes and workshops for children and young people are our main activities. We believe that drama is a tool in which participants can explore, question and challenge the world around them. We encourage curiousity, play and discussions. Our drama classes workshops are social, creative and most of all - fun. We want to make sure that each participant leaves our doors with huge smile on their faces!

We run drama classes and workshops for children and young people from P1 up until the age of 25! For more information about times, days and places, explore the website!

Music

We run music events throughout West Lothian every year including events at the Regal Theatre and the Purple Orange. Our Music Events are used to fundraise money for local charities and bring together lots of local musicians.

We have raised money for Team Jak at the past two Purple Orange shows and aim to have more fundraising music events throughout our year.

We want to provide entertainment to audiences and opportunities for young musicians to perform. Our Music Programme is getting a makeover in 2020 so be sure to watch this space!

Our Workshop Ethos

We believe that drama is:

  • A creative, fun and beneficial activity to participate in regularly.

  • An activity which helps in social bonding and can create brand new friendship groups.

  • An activity that helps participants come out of their shell and celebrate who they are.

  • An art form that is accessible to all.

  • A space for creative learning and discovery.

  • A place to be curious, challenge and learn about the world around you.

  • A safe and non-judgemental space.
