Primary School Workshops
We offer practical drama workshops for Primary Schools in West Lothian delivered by qualified, PVG checked workshop facilitators. Our workshops offer children the opportunity to explore their creativity and imagination within the classroom. The workshops we deliver aim to develop communication skills alongside developing literacy and numeracy skills in line with the Curriculum for Excellence. We can provide traditional drama workshops and we can also tailor drama workshops to suit classroom topics. Our team of drama facilitators can also offer advice and assistance with producing school shows.
Our literacy workshops can be tailored to suit the books / stories / topics you are reading about in the classroom. We can explore these books / stories / topics through using some theatre magic, looking at the structure of stories, developing characters and taking the story from page to stage. Drama is a perfect way to critically and creatively engage with ideas in books / stories / topics.
This workshop can be tailored to any age. The workshop would be suited to a gym hall / large space, however, if needed could be tailored to a classroom.
Our Creative Play workshops are all about drama games and developing the curiosity that makes us creative. Through playing drama games and exploring imagination we hope this workshop develops confidence and enthusiasm in creating. These workshops can be centred around a theme - something that your class may be exploring or a fun one-off workshop.
This workshop is designed for P1-P3 year olds. The workshop would be suited to a gym hall / large space.
Movement & Drama
Our Movement & Drama Workshops explore the physical world of drama. In this workshop we explore how to create characters, scenes and stories through using our bodies. We'll discover how to use music to help us tell a story through movement and create scenes without using a single word. These workshops can be centred around a classroom theme or can be general.
This workshop is designed for P4-P7 year olds. The workshop would be suited to a gym hall / large space.
Our Making Stories Workshops explore all of the elements that go into making a story and how we can make our own. We will take a look at making characters, creating a plot and how to tell it to the audience. These workshops can be centred around a classroom theme or can be general.
